At M+ Creative Arts Studio, visual arts are not simply about learning how to draw — they are about learning how to observe, imagine, create, and communicate.

Our Visual Arts programs bring together artistic practice, creative thinking, and contemporary visual communication. From children discovering their first ways of expressing ideas through colour and form, to students preparing professional portfolios for higher education, and learners exploring photography, video, and new media, we create an environment where creativity and professional guidance grow together.

Creative Art for Children

Led primarily by Heng Yang, our children’s creative art program provides a relaxed, encouraging, yet professionally guided environment where young learners are free to experiment and develop their own artistic voice.

Rather than focusing only on technical drawing skills, the program combines colour, drawing and sketching, crafts, creative installation, mixed media, and multimedia art. Through hands-on projects and open-ended exploration, students develop visual awareness, imagination, creative confidence, and the ability to transform their ideas into meaningful artistic expression.

Portfolio Preparation for Higher Education

For students applying to colleges and universities in visual arts, design, media, and related creative disciplines, M+ provides individualized portfolio development and intensive preparation.

Because portfolio expectations vary significantly among institutions and disciplines, this is not a one-size-fits-all course. Each student’s existing work, artistic strengths, intended program, and application requirements are carefully reviewed before an individual plan is developed. Guidance may include portfolio concept development, project planning, artwork refinement, selection and presentation, as well as the development of a coherent personal creative direction.

Media Arts & Visual Communication

Our Media Arts program responds to the rapidly changing ways in which images and stories are created, shared, and experienced today.

Courses integrate visual language, image analysis, photography, short-form video, shooting and production, editing, storytelling, and social media communication. Students learn not only how to operate cameras or produce content, but also how to understand images, construct visual meaning, communicate ideas effectively, and adapt their creative work to contemporary digital and social media environments.

Through these three interconnected areas, M+ Visual Arts encourages students to move beyond technique — to see more deeply, think more creatively, and discover their own ways of expressing and communicating with the world.

我们的视觉艺术课程将艺术实践、创造性思维与当代视觉传播融为一体。从孩子第一次通过色彩与形式表达自己的想法，到准备申请高等院校艺术专业的学生建立专业作品集，再到摄影、短视频与新媒体视觉表达的学习，我们希望创造一个让自由创造与专业指导共同生长的艺术环境。

少儿创意美术

少儿创意美术课程主要由 杨恒老师（Heng Yang） 带领，为孩子营造一个轻松自在、鼓励探索，同时又具有专业艺术指导的学习环境，让他们能够大胆尝试，并逐渐发展属于自己的艺术语言。

课程并不局限于传统的绘画技巧训练，而是综合运用色彩、绘画与素描、手工制作、创意装置、综合材料以及多媒体艺术等多种形式。通过大量实践性的创作项目和开放式探索，帮助孩子培养视觉感知、想象力、创造的自信，以及将自己的想法转化为艺术表达的能力。

高等教育艺术作品集辅导

针对申请视觉艺术、设计、媒体艺术以及相关创意专业的大学和学院申请者，M+ 提供个性化作品集辅导与集中强化训练。

由于不同院校、不同专业对于作品集的要求存在很大差异，因此我们的作品集辅导并不是一套固定的标准课程。我们会根据每位学生现有的作品基础、艺术特点、申请方向以及目标院校的具体要求进行分析，并制定个性化辅导方案。

辅导内容可以包括作品集主题与概念发展、创作项目策划、作品深化与完善、作品筛选与呈现，以及个人艺术方向和创作脉络的建立等，帮助学生形成既符合专业申请要求，又能够体现个人特点与创造力的作品集。

媒体艺术与视觉传播

我们的媒体艺术课程回应当下影像创作、传播和观看方式所发生的快速变化。

课程将视觉语言、影像分析、摄影、短视频、拍摄与制作、后期编辑、视觉叙事以及社交媒体传播等内容融为一体。学生学习的不仅仅是如何使用摄影机、相机或者制作一条视频，更重要的是学习如何理解影像、建立视觉语言、通过影像有效表达思想，并使自己的创作能够适应今天数字媒体与社交媒体的传播环境。

通过这三个彼此关联的课程方向，M+ Visual Arts 希望帮助学习者超越单纯的技巧训练——看得更深，想得更自由，并逐渐找到属于自己的方式，与这个世界表达和交流。
