Lucy Huang | Vocal Instructor

Lucy Huang is an accomplished vocal educator and performer with decades of experience in vocal instruction, choral leadership, and stage performance.

She studied classical voice under Professor Xian'en Zeng, a distinguished vocal educator and one of the featured singers in China's historic 1950s premiere production of La Traviata. She later continued her artistic development under the guidance of internationally acclaimed soprano Xiaoping Hu, further refining her vocal artistry and teaching philosophy.

Before moving to Canada, Lucy taught vocal music for many years at teacher-training institutions and secondary schools while maintaining an active performing career through television productions, concerts, and major cultural events.

In Canada, she has devoted herself to promoting community arts and music education. She founded and directed community choirs, coached singers of all ages, and has performed extensively in concerts, festivals, and multicultural events. Her performances have been featured at the Living Arts Centre (Mississauga), Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Fredericton Playhouse, University of New Brunswick, Mount Allison University, and in collaboration with the UNB Choir, among many other artistic venues and organizations.

Lucy specializes in helping students develop healthy vocal technique, expressive musicianship, and confident stage presence. She is equally passionate about both Chinese and Western vocal traditions, guiding students in classical repertoire, Chinese art songs, folk songs, contemporary Mandarin popular music, musical theatre, and choral performance.

Whether working with beginners or experienced singers, Lucy creates a supportive and inspiring learning environment where every student can discover the beauty, confidence, and joy of singing.
